Thanks in part to the Burns Memorial Fund, it’s been a busy and exciting year for students at our Falconridge, Beddington and Midnapore Schools. The children were able to participate in many new experiences around the city, including visits to the Calgary Zoo, the Calgary Airport’s Spaceport, Cobb’s Corn Maze, Petland, and bowling.
The Burns Memorial Fund honours the legacy of Senator Patrick Burns, and works to ensure that each child in Calgary reaches their full potential. By investing resources in the areas of education, health and well-being, they aim to build a strong community for our children and youth. The Fund’s support of the Enrichment Program at three Providence schools this past year has done just that by providing students with new experiences and a stimulating environment where they can learn new skills.
